The Comfort Zone (mx)

As we step onto the Path of Uncertainty, our biological instinct is to resist, to hold back and to hold onto what feels most comfortable and certain. We, subsequently refrain from taking proactive action.

Our instincts tell us that uncertainty is dangerous, riddled with pitfalls and pain. There is only failure and problems on the other side. And this is kind of scary. It’s scary to step into the unknown without the necessary knowledge, experience, support, and tools that would normally help alleviate our fears.

It is said that the quality of our lives is a direct reflection of the amount of uncertainty we can comfortably handle at any given moment.

This statement is significant because it suggests that the more uncertainty you can comfortably deal with the higher quality of life you will inevitably live.

Given this, it’s quite clear that to attain our goals we need to step outside our comfort zones. There, we will confront a plethora of problems that must be dealt with. These problems are, of course, tied to the achievement of our goals. We need to solve these problems. Only then, will we reach our destination.
