Prefrontal Cortex | what is?

The Prefrontal Cortex is a part of the brain that is located at the front of the frontal lobe. It’s responsible for working memory, rational analysis, assessing potential dangers and future consequences, and for preventing impulsive behavior.

It is the part of the brain that is stimulated while using emotional intelligence. It forces you to think rationally about your life and circumstances and thereby minimizes the influence that the limbic system has over your emotional experiences and automatic reactions.

The prefrontal cortex also plays a significant role in the development of an individual’s personality.
