A Personal Identity is a concept you develop about yourself that evolves over the course of your life. This personal identity is an outcropping of your beliefs, faith, interests, knowledge, social status and skills. It’s also evident within the groups you belong to as well as within the social circles you frequent. It also includes aspects of yourself that you have little to no control over such as your gender, ethnic background, where you were raised as a child, and how you were raised.
Your personal identity is often evident in how you dress, behave, and in how you interact with other people and the world around you. Moreover, it’s evident when we look at with whom you interact with. This is important because in many ways we identify ourselves through other people, and vice-versa.
