Anchors are captured feelings, emotions and memories of events, places, people and things that have been conditioned into our nervous system over a lifetime — manifesting as reflex responses to specific stimuli or events within our environment.
Anchors are often formed while we are experiencing peak emotional states — when the senses are stimulated by specific and unique events or things that are present within our environment.
Conditioned anchors (emotions) can therefore be triggered by people, the environment, objects, symbols, events, sounds, smells and even colors. Moreover, they can occur at a conscious or unconscious level of awareness, and can be felt when we experience sudden emotional fluctuations throughout the day.
